In the Brooder
Hi there, I have 5 chickens, 2 orpingtons, 2 americaunas and 1 brahama. I had 2 brahamas but one was a rooster and in my town there are no roosters allowed. He was donated to a local farm where I get to visit him. So I got my chickens on May 17, they were 1 day old, they had the vaccination and I gave them the medicated crumble food. Around the 5 month mark is when I donated my rooster. My girls get plenty of snacks, fruits, egg laying food, oyster shells, meal worms, scratch etc. plus they free range most of the time if I'm home. They are now 29 weeks/7 months old. I haven't received one egg from any of them. Is this normal? I have an enclosed chicken coop with nesting boxes with ceramic eggs in each of the 4 boxes. As well as an enclosed run if I cannot let them free range. I'm not looking for eggs but every thing I read they should be laying eggs, I check them every so often to make sure they aren't egg bound. Any ideas?
