New Chicken Mamma

When we moved to our new home in 2014 that sits on about a quarter acre my husband had a vision of having a few chickens, a rabbit and maybe a turtle for the grandkids to enjoy. I grew up on a farm in New Zealand so was not apposed to the idea. Research showed we could have a small flock where we live so a few months ago we brought our first 4 baby chicks home. They have been thriving. All the you tube videos we watch have been helpful so I joined this forum to stay in touch with other chicken family’s.
