Welcome to the coop! I use the Forums and Articles tabs at the top of the page to do research. You can get lost for hours. It's nice to know you are minutes away from getting help with questions and emergencies! I always check in the "What's New" section as well at the top of this page. This way I can read how I may have a similar question or help give some advice.

Definitely new to chickens just got our first 4 chicks from Tractor Supply this Tuesday(Feb 21).

We have 4 baby chicks!
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 Rhode Island Red(we named it RedBull), 1 Buff orpington(we named it Tweety), 2 Black Australorps(I suspect they are something else because they have feathered legs and a yellow tinted belly, we named them Oreo and Shadow)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are super sweet and funny! Love the fluffy baby chick butts!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Knitting, Crocheting
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a software engineer. My family includes my husband, my almost 9yr old daughter, our dog Lily, and our cat Piper.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
Joined because every time I have a question about chickens and search something there is always a link to some forum on BYC and I figured this is the place to be for chicken keeping.
