šŸ” I bought 7 chicks of different breeds (2 are Silkies). I never knew they could be so much fun! We ended up keeping the two Silkies seperate when they were young because they were so small. Then I couldn't put them in the main coop, because the bigger hens pick on them. We make them breakfast every morning (scrambled eggs, veggies, crushed eggshell...) and they get so excited when they see us coming!

I look forward to learning about them with you all!

Hello! Welcome to BYC! Enjoy your chicken adventure! Also, have fun here!

Hiya, and welcome to BYC! :frow

I'm not sure your situation, but if you are able to, I'd get about 3-4 more silkies. There's power in numbers and that should help them be left alone.

With two, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I've had a pair of adult silkies brought back to me from someone who said her RIRs kept backing them into corners then pounding on them. She wouldn't get more silkies, so she gave them back.
