New chicken mom in North Carolina

Hey yall! Im pretty new to the chicken world but i got to say that its pretty exciting so far. I live in North Carolina with my husband and 2 children. We have a dog, a smoosh face cat and 11 baby chicks Ive known plenty of people that have raised chickens but this will be my very first time, so fingers crossed, yall!

Crossing fingers doesn't really help but, reading through the Learning Center and "Raising Backyard chicks," thread can make a difference.

Ive done plenty of research prior to making the decision to get chickens. Not to mention all the help and info from my chicken raising family. Appreciate your help tho.
