1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

I am a first time chicken mom at beginning of summer 2017. I have never been around chickens that much. My boyfriends family raises chickens and after his sister in law got chickens i just had to have some.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

Ha i became a pro at chicken math right from the start.... i currently have 22 Hens and 1 Roo.

(3) What breeds do you have?

I got 12 RIR adults to start and then decided i wanted to raise chicks myself. So i kept my laying girls and added 6 barred rock babies-and apparently i have awful luck because 3 ended up being Roos. And since i already had babies i decided i should just add 8 more to mix it up ha! So i currently have:
11 RIR,
3 barred rock hen and 1 barred rock Roo,
6 EE,
2 silver laced wyandottes
1 black australorp.
and i reallllly want a polish just to have.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

I am always researching anything about raising chicks and this is a popular and great resource.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

I love to ride motorcycles and travel, i play several sports and love being around my family.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I work in a office environment typical hours 8-4. I am 35 and live my boyfriend. No kids but i love love being with my niece and nephew. Im pretty athletic and try to stay active.
