Katzenjammies
In the Brooder
Hi folks. I am a new mom to 11 beautiful girls. I have two ameraucanas, Sassy and Cheeky; two buff orpingtons, Buffy and Sunny; one cuckoo maran, Penny; one giant brahma, Marilyn, two australorps, Bebe and JC; two blue cochins, Misty and Stormy, and one very sweet, "mama's girl", Jammies, a banded cochin.
I got all of them as day-old chicks and lovingly hand-raised them inside until they were two months old. Then made a huuuuge mistake by letting them have the greenhouse as their new digs were being designed and built. Needless to say, they happily destroyed most of my plants and created deep "potholes" in the base of my larger citrus tree planters, but not to worry - plants will grow back, eh?
All my girls are very affectionate and vie for my attention when I go out; they chatter and talk to me the whole time. I don't know what we ever did without them.
