New Chicken Mom

Hey everyone! I started my flock about six or seven months ago I currently have 15 Plymouth Barred Rock hens and two beautiful Plymouth Barred Rock roosters. I've raised all of mine from babies.

I've joined this page to gather information from experienced owners. I read it as a guest for several months now and quite enjoy this threads and post and advice.

Sorry, I am not an expert on injured chickens but I see you have posted on the Emergencies & Diseases Forum so I will just wish your girl all the best for a full recovery.

I am pleased you have delurked and hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you include your general location on your profile, this will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

I love BR chickens. They are so funny and curious creatures. One of mine likes to walk up to me and stare at me sideways with one eye slightly open.. like she's thinking about something lol
