(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I’ve wanted chickens for years, but didn’t have the right set-up at our last house. When we moved, I knew it was the perfect place to raise some chickens.


(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I bought five a few months ago. After the first week, I got three more. I either had to stop or build a bigger coop.

(3) What breeds do you have?
I have 2 RI reds, speckled Sussex, blue langshan, silver lakenvelder, black australorp, barred Plymouth Rock and an Easter Egger.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Google. Needed to make sure I did my research before getting into chickens.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Quilting, working in the yard and gardening.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My granddaughter loves these chickens.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
