My husband and I are first time chicken parents! We have been planning this for awhile and while I have done plenty of research I still feel like I have a ton of questions & am always questioning what I am doing! It is definitely a learning experience!


We just got our baby chicks at the end of May! We had planned for the beginning of April but with everything that happened that got pushed back! We got them from a local
Farm.
We currently have 4 chickens that are now 10 & 11 weeks old! Supposed to be all girls! (Fingers Crossed!! lol)

We have 2 buff Orpingtons: Beatrice (also known as Big B, Bea, & BB) & Henrietta.
And 2 Cream Legbars: Foggy & Leggy
My husband wanted to name them so he picked Foghorn LegHorn after the cartoon character but I made them cuter names since they are girls!!

working from home currently due to everything has been a wonderful experience from having them inside to getting the coop ready to having them outside & being able to interact & watch them throughout the day! It also has been very helpful with the learning process & when we eventually go back to the office we will have things down pat better!

we are huge animal lovers! We currently have 2 dogs, a cat, & a fish. We also feed all the birds & birdwatch. So we are loving having the chickens as our new pets, eggs will just be a perk!

We both are member of the BYC on fb so I thought it was time to join on here too since the threads can be very helpful!
