Yes, we eat these eggs daily and now I freeze them lol. I don't wash them just separate the dirty ones and the clean ones. I read in a book the dirty would be contaminated if left unwashed. I love the idea of notices at the stores. Thank you for this idea! I wasn't sure if we were allowed to donate them to the pantries. But I will call them at the end of the week as well bc I have pitched all the old and froze today's. Starting over in the morning!First, fertilized eggs are edible, just gather them daily and put them in the refrigerator.
Fertilized or unfertilized they are the same for food.
I have regular customers now that text me when they want more and return my egg cartons.
1. Sell them. Put up a notice at your local feed and farm store or list on craigslist or neighborhood website.
2. Donate them to your local food pantrys.
3. Share them with coworker, friends and family.
It's a shame to waste good food.
