To answer the questions...
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We got our girls in March
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? We have 5 of them as that is the maximum number the city ordinance will allow...hens only, no roosters
(3) What breeds do you have? We have three Eggers...an olive, cherry and Easter...we also have a gold laced wyandotte and a Buff orpington.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Chicken watching!!!!! Getting control of the foods we eat via organicly fed chickens and gardening.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Scrapbookking and quilting and family!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My husband of 38 years and I, have a dog named Fennec. The chickens are Pearl, Rose, Brownie, Hazel and Cinder. I work for Home Depot in the garden dept... love my plants I get from there, over 50 houseplants for sure!
