Hi y'all! I just ordered my first flock from a local farm. We are expecting 2 Easter Eggers, 2 Black Jersey Giants, and 2 Speckled Sussex. I have been researching this venture for about 2yrs and I still have a bit of trepidation about "am I doing everything right?" Haha! Not starting off fancy, I just want to be a good caregiver. Thanks for welcoming me to the group.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

I note you mention you are in Virginia [this Aussie is guessing that is what RVA stands for :p] but if you include your general location on your profile, this will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.
