Hi! I'm Amanda! I'm so excited to be a part of an online community filled with fellow chicken lovers!

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes and no. We had chickens growing up, but it's been awhile!

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
7!!!

(3) What breeds do you have?
Definitely silver laced Wyandotte, Amerucana, silkie, and jersey Giants. Our little bantam, however, we aren't sure of the breed... TSC couldn't tell us either.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Google!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love to craft! Any craft! I am an Etsy shop owner. Blogger. And hobby photographer.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I am a stay at home Mama to 3 beautiful babies... Well, not so much babies anymore... 10, 9, and 5. My husband and I have been married for 11 years in May... We also have a black lab, a cat, and 3 guinea pigs.

Ya, I had come across the site so often while I was in the research stage I figured I'd better just join! It's great to be able to post pictures and questions and get some input. I actually made some major changes to by breed plan after opening a discussion thread on it.
