Hello! I just got my first chicks last week. They are adorable and are varied in size and type. As they were a gift, I don't know what they are, but have been reading up here on BYC on how to care for them. They are doing great! Although, I did lose one.

the others seem to be doing well.

I'm happy to be a NEW chickie Mommy!!!

You came to the right place to get info. Sadly it is not uncommon to lose one or two of the young chicks, but I am glad the others are doing well. It is fun to have a mixed flock.

Here is a pic of my little flock

one big yellow baby with feathered feet and 5 toes, (My favorite), 3 chipmunk looking tiny babies, and plain yellow 4 toed. Lost one of the plain yellow 4 toed... not really PLAIN, they are adorable!!!
