Hello, everyone I am new to raising chickens. My grandparents had them, but were not pets. I realized after my husband got 10 that were 1 day old, how much fun they could be. I had researched online about different breeds and I fell in love with the Silkie Bantams. I went and got me 4. I thought they were all Silkies because of the feathers on the feet. I was wrong, only 2 are Silkies and I am not sure what the others are yet. They have the 5 toes and feathers on their feet, but have normal feathers. They all are about 3 months old and fixing to graduate from the brooder to a coop and run outside, separate from my husband 10 because they are a lot bigger than my babies. I am having a hard time telling whether my Silkies are Hens or Roo’s. I hope to learn enough or post pictures and someone be able to tell what sex they are. I have read a lot of threads on this site and I know that I am going to have to limit myself to the time I spend on here.
