New chicken owner as from Spring 2011

Hi everyone, a UK soon to be owner here. I am hoping to re-home some ex-battery hens at the end of March when my flatpack coop has been built. I have never kept chickens before but have campaigned long and hard against ex-battery hens and other cruel ways of keeping chickens and animals. Now having a back garden at last, I am def going to be getting some girls of my own from the British Hen Welfare Trust, and just can't wait for that first egg!!
