New chicken owner from Chapel Hill, NC

Hello wise chicken-people!

I am the excited new owner of seven pullets:

- 2 Buff Orpingtons (7 weeks now and in the coop)
- 2 Americaunas
- 2 Dominiques
- 1 impulse-buy Barred Rock (the last 5 in a brooder in my guest bedroom)

I DO have a question about socializing with them, but I will post it in the chicks forum.

My coop is done, thank goodness, but I am still working on digging the trench for the run. I'll post about that in the coops forum!
