Hey everyone,
My boyfriend and I are first time chicken owners; we’ve had our current chickens since June of last year. Our desire to keep chickens started when we bought our current home which came with a fully equipped coop, ready for use. Unfortunately, we aren’t certain of the breed of our chickens. I’ve done a lot of research over the last few months but always end up second guessing a breed that initially seemed to fit (any help identifying them would be greatly appreciated!). I don’t think either of us expected to bond with our chickens as much as we have, so getting to know their individual traits and personalities has been an awesome experience. We currently have three chickens in the coop (we recently lost two hens to a hawk) and six chicks that we’re hoping to start intergrating in the coming weeks. In addition to our flock we have a four year old pitbull named Tut.
