New chicken owner

I have a chicken just show up in my yard about a month ago, I have been feeding her chicken feed. She now shows up at my door clucking real loud for me to come and feed her. I want to know what to do to keep her safe from the cats and foxes in the area. I believe she is a brown leghorn and maybe getting ready to lay eggs soon. She has been digging little bed like wholes in the yard and laying in it. Her red part of her head is real red, I can see it from a long distance. I have 2 acres of land that she is enjoying here.

She may be digging the holes to dust bathe in.
You will need a predator proof coop with lots of space and ventilation.
And you will need to get her flock mates!
