new chicken owner!!

Hi there ,i just thought that i would introduce myself,and say hello.
I have only just joined this great webbsite and am due to get my chickens in a couple of months.
i have never kept chickens ,although my father did , any advice would be greatly recieved,I have just purchased my coop and ordered my hens.I am rehomimg 5 battery hens ,and very excited about it !!!

Welcome Tania!! The only advice I have s to KEEP READING!! There is a wealth of knowledge to be found here. I didn't know anything about chickens when I joined. Now I have 31!!! and 40 eggs ready for the incubator!!!! The people here are very helpful, so ask lots of questions. Congrats on the battery hens!!!
