To introduce myself to the site:
My husband and I have 6 hens we bought mature enough to lay. They are Rhode Island Reds. Where we live we are only allowed to have 6 hens maximum and no roosters.
My husband built a nice coop, and we are off on the adventure. He had never had any chickens, I had some growing up years ago as a child. I am enjoying them immensely. They all have a personality, didn't plan on naming any of them but one has just named herself she is the leader of the pack "Gertrude ".

The worm chase or any treat for that matter is hilarious.
