Hi everyone!
(1)Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am completely new to owning chickens! My parents and grandparents all grew up owning chickens, but for me this is a total first!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
4 sweet ladies
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 Delaware, 1 Novagen, and 2 Barred Rock
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I loved raising them as baby chicks and seeing them develop different personalities and quarks. They give me so many laughs and I love coming home knowing they’ll bring a smile to my face.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Reading, hiking, crafting, and yoga
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I work in a chemistry lab striving to help patients. I have an amazing fiancé and 2 beautiful female cats named Ophelia and Aspen.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
At first, I think almost every day I was googling different questions about the chickens and i loved hearing first hand from people who have experienced those things! I decided to join because it’s great to be a part of a community who enjoy keeping chickens and can help out a new comer like me!
