I attempted to make a chicken tractor that was inexpensive and could be taken apart. After ripping my hair out for a couple of days I decided that was not feasible. HOWEVER, I noticed my neighbor throwing out mounds of old hardwood, looks like maybe a poplar. I took a bunch and made a chicken tractor in a day, about 9 hours to be exact, and cost a total of $24.00 for screws and chicken wire. The little chicks love it and once they grow up and can mix with the other hens I will be putting 3 or 4 large hens in here to go around the front and side yard. Let me know what you think.Top photo is my first attempt. I would up returning everything but the used wood. ($13 wasted, not bad)
