Hi, i got a new pullet silkie and i added her to my other silkie...my silkie at hime is 5,1/2 months old and the new silkie cross is about 3 months...well my silkie at home jumped on top of my new silkie and pecked her once..then she got of...and from then on she pecked her once everytime my new silkie moves quickly somewere...is this sormal? Are they ever going to be friends>? Is this a for life thing? And is it ok to add the new one...i only had 1 chicken(silkie). now i have 2. Thanks!!!

It is normal. I have 2 separate coops and each have 4 silkies. I am trying to combine them into one flock. The older ones peck at the younger ones and it scares them. I think it will get better soon for you. Tomorrow is the day we make it final and the younger one will not be taken out at the end of the day. from what i see with mine....it gets a little better every day. Hang in there.......soon they will be buddies.
