new chickens

I just bought 5 more chickens. I had 3 and I was just wondering how long it takes for them to adjust and start laying. My Molly is a silky and she is the only one who sleeps in her nest and the only one that lays routinely. unless she is brooding. She has always slept in her nesting box, I figured she was the only smart one especially in winter.

Hope she isn't pooping on any eggs. Sleeping in a nest box usually causes that. Silkies love to go broody but if you don't have a rooster or get fertile eggs for her to sit on, they will never hatch.
