New chickens!

Hiya!
i have just got 4 new chickens!
I only have a 4x5 run atm.
I plan to have them free range but my dogs and cats are very interested in them.
any tips for introductions to other pets?
I love them I’m so excited.

Cute photos, thanks for sharing! Both cats and dogs can be a problem with chickens. Many dogs are sure they are a meal and it can be nearly impossible to train it out of an adult dog. You are better off keeping the other animals away from your birds to prevent injuries and death.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens I have field wire but dog kennel panels then hardware cloth covers all of it ... Two big dogs cannot be trusted Please us hardware cloth.
My birds have a 1/4 acre to run Trees and brush and 2 cockerel

The run they are in looks a lot bigger than 4x5. Your coop looks to be lacking in ventilation though.
