I keep a flock of free range chickens and have for almost 3 years, I just started a new flock that was caught wild. I have had them in the coop for 8 days. Should I let them out and hope they come back to the coop? I'm also not getting any eggs but I assume it is because of light, I did throw a few golf balls in the nest boxes to try to encourage them.

with feral chickens I would coop/run them for almost a month. this allows them to see you as the food source and should coop up after that without issues. but if you don't have a run that is hard to do so I would use best judgement on the birds....
