New chicks arrived this morning!!

So excited. Post office called this morning and said chicks had arrived. When I got there the clerk said "Oh I hope yours are the live ones"... I was scared they were all dead. She brought out my box and said "yours is the box with the live chicks... the other box has all dead chicks". I am so happy ours are ok, but I feel really bad that someone will be getting that other box

Got them home and gave them water and some food. They seem to be doing well.

Congrats!!! I love seeing all the new chicks, and glad to see someone getting SLW's I love our 2 little...well bigger girls now. It's amazing how much these little one's grow, ours are 3wks today and how they have changed from their first days

How are your Partridge Rock hens? Our 3 girls are the most talkative chicks, always talking and super friendly too.

Are your Araucana chicks the striped ones? Because that is exactly what mine looks like and it is supposed to be an Araucana too. Here is a pic of mine.

This is when she was a couple days old, she is now a week old.

Our Partridge Rocks are doing wonderful!! I agree, they are very talkative! They get so excited when they see us coming to the coop with treats. They are very friendly too. Our Red Star hens like to be held a little more that our PR girls, but they are all just big fluffy pets LOL.

We had all our names picked out for the PR's but after a few days we had to change 2 of them since they "talk" constintly, but are very sweet chicks, and yes they come running when the "egg yolks" are for treats, it's hilarious.
We ended up changing the talkers to Billy Jean, and Elanor Rigby

Thanks! We really enjoy them so far. I have a SLW also.. here is a pic of here.. looks like some of your darker ones look kinda like her too.

Her wings are lighter than her back.. her back was really dark and now that her feathers are coming in they are darker now on her wings..

I need to work on my chicken math.. im hunting down a crazy polish to put in my mix
