new chicks have gunk still on them after 12 hours, is that ok?

so we have 2 little new Amauracana chicks the were hatched yesterday and the still have lots of egg goo on them. we were wondering if this was okay, (this is our first time hatching) and should i wash it off or will it come off naturally? thanks

Leave this on them! If you remove it, it could very much harm them. After about 3-4 days, all of it should be gone. If not, you should still wait until they are about a week old, and, by then, you shouldn't see any signs of it. Hope this helps! maybe they were "shrink wrapped," from low humidity at hatching.
