Hi, I have passed this site a few times and decided it would be a great place to talk chickens. My husband and I have 5 kids and purchased 5 baby chicks a couple weeks ago. We are still in discussions of building the coop. The building aspect is not the issue, it is all the details we need to make sure we consider before we get it done. We are trying to make a mobile coop that we can move each winter/summer season to get the best sun/warmth and cool/shade as needed. Of course we want to make it the run portion safe. So we continue to look for ideas and draw and redraw the plans. Hope to hit the nail on the head real soon. Any thoughts and suggestions are welcome. We live along the Wisconsin Illinois border.
