In the Brooder
They are not little chicks anymore. They do follow me around when I go outside. I did raise them in my shop while they were small. I made a miniature coop for them and I would go out every day and talk to them and then again at night. I gave them some treats once in a while and they got use to that. Now that they are bigger, I go out in the evening before they go to bed and feed them some scratch. They love it and they flock around me. I do have 1 rooster and he does not like me at all. He constantly is flogging me. There is only 2 methods that work. 1 is I act like I am a bigger rooster tham him and it intimidates him and most of the time he turns and walks away, and if that doesn't work then the stick definately works, I just don't like doing that but he is mean.I wish I had that much land, that's amazing. Pets or not I'm sure they are happy with the space. I can't imagine having to try and pick up 20 or 30 little squirmy chicks to put them in for the night!
