We had nearly given up getting any chicks when we got the call this morning that our friend had some hatch this morning if we wanted them. Of course we did!!!

Here they are, any idea what we've got? I tried to get pics that showed their legs.

This one reminds us of a little penguin.

This one is almost a golden color.

Another one...

The lighting makes this one look white, but it is really yellow.

I love the markings around this one's face. His back is all black.

And this one looks like a chipmunk!

Last one.

Just noticed something else! One of the three chipmunks has feathers on its legs. It's the only one like that of the entire 25.

CORRECTION: Two have feathered legs! Here they are:

The chipmunk one and a back view.

And a little black one.

My best guesses: the one(s) with the stripes down the back could be either welsummer or speckled sussex. Welsummers have yellower bellies and oranger legs. The black one with the yellowish tummy may be a black australorp. And the black ones with the brown face look just like our mystery chick, which we have reached a positive conclusion on yet, but likely a black sex link.

The little penguin looks exactly like my silver laced wyandottes.
the golden one looks like a New hampshire red.
I don't know 3,4,or 5
6 looks like an EE
7 looks like a barred rock or austrolorp
