New Chicks-What breed?

I have 5 RIR and 3 Leghorns. I was given 7 chicks today from a class at my daughter's school. I am keeping 4 of them and sharing the others with another parent who also has chickens. Do you know what breed these new babies are??? There is one black one and the others are reddish brown with wings that are starting to turn black. The beaks have a red bit on it...if that matters. They don't really look like my others. Can you help? (Look at my little blackie one! I think that is my favorite! Reminds me of a penguin!!)

Also, one of the chickens has a "gimp" foot that stays up. My question is...will the other chickens bother him/her? He/she doesn't stand on this leg. Do you think it will be ok if there are no other problems? What would your suggestion be for a "handicap" chicken? I am ok with keeping it but I don't want to get my girls heart broken if it ends up being "pecked" on and hurt or killed.

and p.s.-my guess is going to be Barred Rock. Can i mix all of these chickens together? I have all hens.

I think the black one is either a barred rock or a cuckoo maran. The cuckoo marans always have a white spot on the head. The others look like RIR maybee RIR cross

The cuckoos look alot like the barred rocks but they get bigger and somtimes grow feathers on the feet.

yes, i do see how the barred rock and cuckoo look similar. they are 6 days old now so i will have to keep my eye out for sure.

just pray that my little black one isn't a roo...i really want to keep it and i cant have roos in my neighborhood!!!!! i dont know how to check them so i think i am just going to have to wait.
what do you think about the little gimpy chicken? you think it will ok to keep?

The little chicken should be fine but watch to make sure the others dont pick on it.
