got 26 old english bantams this morning from Ideal Poultry all made it except one the rest are doing good eating and drinking they are Blue brassy backs,whitetail reds and blue mille fleur

Don't know where you are at but your Ideal chicks look great. Did you notice if they packed them with gro-gel or feed of some sort. I'm 40 miles from the hatchery and my chicks do not look that good when I get them. I'm wondering if it is because I get them on day 2, Ideal does not add any gro-gel. My last batch was very weak and I lost several right away, I have talked with the feed store and they are the same way. They have told me there is nothing added to the box for them either.
I am to the point of ordering from out of state to get better chicks. Also, If you ordered pullets, hope yours were sexed better than my bunch, out of 60 pullets, I have spotted alot of roos already.

We are in lower Alabama i think the dark one are blue brassy backs roos there is 3 or 4 light blue ones their pullets the yellow one are whitetail red and the yellow ones with a little black are blue mille fleur their wing feathers are orange and spoted i got straight runs but i wanted some roos they sale good down here don't know how to sex the whitetail reds. there was little dark green balls in straw packing could have been gel balls
