Hello Everyone,
I have a question for anyone out there. I was wondering does anyone know approximately how much chicken started feed would 5 baby chicks go through before changing to the next feed. I was debating on buying a 50lb. bag but wasn't sure if I should buy that much.
We are waiting for the call to pick up our babies. They should be arriving either Wednesday or Thursday and we are just giddy to have little chicks. Our coop is just about ready, we only have to put on the hardware cloth and a couple of latches and pretty it up with some flowers when the weather permits.

Can't wait to share the pics. with everyone. Also, is it just me...but when I tell people I'm getting baby chickens they look at me like I'm crazy for having chickens in town. I mean really... its in Sioux Falls, SD not like its a huge city. I feel its not any worse than having a dog which we have. I think it will be easier.

Hi and :welcome from Ohio. So glad you joined. Congrats and good luck with your new chicks. The 50lb bag will be fine. I am sure you will go through it all. You can feed the starter for quite awhile. :thumbsup
