New Coop build for Newbie

Lol I think I need to go back to school for math :he. Yes I will cut air vents like you suggested And make sure nothing is dripping on the chickens. Again thank-you for your input. This project was kind of an unexpected Rush job as winter is creeping up fast, plus Im feeling sorry the the Hens in that little prefab. I Wish I would’ve had more time to research.

Chicken housing always seems to be a work in progress. :)

I've got to install more perches in my big coop and create a means of separating two breeding groups inside it. :D

So if I cut a rectangle of 6 " x 60 inches = 2.5 sq ft. on one side and then another 6" x 60"= 2.5 on the other side, does this count as 5 sq ft total? Thanks.
Yep. For in the winter. Depending on how the air flows.
Best bet is to measure the temp an humidity both outside and inside the coop,
they should be about the same...and make sure no strong drafts hit the birds while they roost.

Might need more in the summer.

IIRC you're up in Canada?
Here's how to add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

So the minimum is 1 sq ft per Hen, so I would need a minimum of 4 sq ft for my 4 Hens. So if I cut a rectangle of 6 " x 60 inches = 2.5 sq ft. on one side and then another 6" x 60"= 2.5 on the other side, does this count as 5 sq ft total? Thanks.

Yes.

And as @aart explained, measuring the temperature and humidity will confirm that you have enough or that you don't have enough. :)
