I had some ideas in mind for modifications to my coop and run. I wanted to incorporate the idea of grazing frames because our chickens tear up and dig trenches in our run if we don't let them out to free range every at least twice a week. I also wanted to add gravel for the flooring of the run to decrease the amount of mud when it rains.
This is my spin on grazing frames. I made them more like an edging around the side of the run to provide sustainable grass for the chickens to eat all the time. I used leftover 2 x 4s, a leftover 4 x 4 scrap piece, 2 1/2 inch screws and 1/2" hardware cloth. Just waiting for the grass seed to grow!

Here's the new gravel run floor.
.
Instead of making the whole run gravel, I left this area with a dirt and sand mixture for the chickens to dig and dust bathe in.

Here I took out the old ramp to the front entrance and took out the bottom fencing to make the ramp coming down from inside the coop the main entrance.
