Hey

looks good! Make sure you have very good ventilation. Without proper venting you'll notice that it will always be very humid in their coop because they give off a lot of moisture. The rule of thumb is 4sqft per chicken so you should be able to fit aprox 8 chickens in their however they will need more room if they will always be in there (more time means more space) If you build a run it would give them the added square footage and allow them to be outside to peck bugs and other things they find. Hope this helps!

Thanks. Two big windows in front also have venting in back. Plan on putting window side too. And a twenty by twenty run. Wife ordered pullets to be here next Friday. So working overtime lol.

We plan on having eight hens. Was just curious if I could fit more or not. Working on eight nesting boxes now.

That would be maximum, If it were me I would be an enclosed attached run for them to be outside. They are like anyone else, they want to have their own space. They like a somewhat secluded area to lay as well ( darker, private nest boxes) If you built a run for them it would give them the added space and they would lay and sleep in the coop you built so i would say you could have 8 in there in that case
