I'm not patient like other folks here to show all the stages of my coop. But, I will give a lot of those folks kudos for posting and giving the rest of us good ideas. Our problem here in Florida isn't cold. It's heat and rian proofing with wind thrown in. Our old coop proved inadequate in TS Fay last year. The girls couldn't get dry enough to be happy. Sure, they'll walk around in the rain (they are now and it's pouring), but they need somewhere dry to go when it blows sideways for a couple of days. So, we built a coop of some scrap and some new, measures 7x8 feet. There's a droppings pit and large nest boxes. Put in the vinyl flooring as suggested many times here.
