Well, we finally finished our coop. Here's a picture of it. Right now we have 15 hens and one rooster. This coop is 8ft wide by 10ft long and has 10 laying boxes with outside access. Right now we are trying to figure out how to get lights up in there since most of our hens, even the winter hardy ones, have stopped laying and they aren't moulting. There is no electricity out to the coop right now so we either have to run an extension cord out there or wire directly into an outdoor outlet on the house and run cable through pvc pipe to the coop to hardwire a light. We were going to do solar lights but we wouldn't get much power right now with it being rainy every day.
