New duckling mate

Clyde the Pekin duck is a week and a half old. We had him since he hatched. His mate died so we got another week and a half old duckling today, Buck. Buck keeps running from us and seems freaked out. Clyde is sweet though. Buck follows him around. How can I get Buck to be calm and like my husband and I?
