New Egg - Small Crack

Just got a new egg. Biggest yet! Slightly small crack in tip-top. Not all the way through at all... Looks like from landing on hard nest box floor.
Is that ok to eat?

If the crack doesn't go all the way into the egg then it's ok to eat

We don't eat them, ---to much chance of contamination.

But to keep you from feeling like it is a waste, smash it is a bowl and feed it back to your girls. They will love you for it and the shell is a good sorce of calcium. They make harder shelled eggs that won't crack the next time.

If you feed back your smashed shells all the time you will see the results.

If it is just slightly cracked I eat them that day. Just make sure it's thoroughly cooked. If it's smashed and oozing out, I don't eat it.
