Hi chicken community,
My name is Karissa, last year my husband, 7 year old daughter and I decided to get chicks! (We live in the hughest incorporated city in the US, right in the middle of the rockie mountains) We had no clue what we were doing and found ourselves with 5 chicks in a makeshift brooder in our living room. We ended up with 7 chickens and two ducks last year and now have 11 hens/pullets and four khaki Campbell ducks. It has been a huge joy and learning experience raising our friendly free range flock and we have the Backyard Chicken community threads to thank for all their input and answers to all our questions!
