Hey folks!
Anyone planning on going to the NEBC swap meet event this weekend? I couldn't find any chatter on here about it... Looks like it's at the Brockton, MA fairgrounds from 9am-noon, and the only info I could find is here.
I have a batch of chicks that I will be offering for sale - let me know if you'd like to claim any ahead of time and I'll save them for you.
All have been vaccinated for Marek's and have been outside in their own coop for a little over a month, so they're all set to go straight outside. All are $5 for boys, $10 for girls.
Polish (9wks):
2x WCB non-bearded frizzle cockerels (really pretty, super tame, and with personality up the wazoo!)
2x WC non-bearded smooth-feathered cuckoo (1 girl, 1 boy, I think - the boy is gorgeous and the girl will be once her hat fills out... the middle hasn't grown in yet)
Breda (9wks):
1x splash cockerel
2-3x blue (1 cockerel and 1-2 pullets)
1x black (I think pullet)
Wyandotte (7wks):
1 blue-laced red cockerel and one that was also supposed to be blue-laced but almost looks more like black-laced red, also a cockerel
And maybe 1-2 three week old barnevelders, depending on whether I can tell which are likely boys or girls by Sunday.
Finally, *Free to a good home* 1 special-needs bearded buff-laced polish pullet - she has a fairly significant crossbeak situation going on and is eating well enough on her own, but will likely need to be on crumble (in a deep/wide dish so she can get her whole head in there) for the rest of her life because she can't pick up pellets (or greens), and would probably benefit from a little more TLC than I am able to give her at the moment (like occasional feedings of baby food with vitamins, etc).
Not great pics - will get the ones off my *actual* camera this evening...
The little crossbeak. She's a sweetie. (taken about a month ago)

Not the best angle, but this is the WC cuckoo pullet, the black breda pullet, and the bum of one of the grey breda pullets (buff-laced not yet for sale, and adorable dog not included
).

This was taken last week - the boy on top of the run is the splash breda cockerel, two of the blue breda pullets are just inside the door, the black breda pullet is in the bottom left corner, the little crossbeak is the one with the funny tail in the middle, and the two WCB polish boys are obvious. Again not the best pic but at least to give you an idea. The lav orpington and partridge silkie are not for sale.
