New Feathers on Chicks

Hopeful you just have a slow developing girl. However as a general rule it is usually the boys that are slower to get feathers.

Eesh, so I've heard. We're not keeping any roosters, so any boys that got in there by mistake will be rehomed. Little Red Girl seems to be behind in size, as well, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

How accurate a way is this for determining gender? I have five Delawares and was hoping for four hens and one roo. If feather growth is an accurate indicator, I'm going to be a very happy momma as four of them have similarly advanced feather development while only one just seems to be slowly budding.
