Today I started a new feeder for the girls. This one will hold a full 55# bag plus some, so Ill only need to fill once a month or so. I forgot to pick up extra feed ports so Ill finish that tomorrow. I also started on the cedar fence around the creek / waterfall... next Ill use some old towels dipped in concrete to make a saddle to mount on the fence for western decor.

i dig it what kind of bucket is that?
it is a 20 gallon pharmaceutical drum that chemicals or pills come in (a friend works at a manufacturer, and yes they are cleaned and sanitized ) most products are in sealed bags.
The lids screw on and have handles to carry.

Finally finished the new feeder and swapped them out. It held a full 55# bag of pellets along with the 5 gallon pail of crumbles and still has room for maybe another 10# of feed to top it off? If the birds are wasting the feed and from previous experiences with the last flock.... this should last a full month or more. So now I went from 12# of feed every 2 weeks in the 5 gallon pail with 3 ports to 55# in a 20 gallon jug with 5 ports. The girls seem to like it already.

@Sono I am about to put this one out but I’m worried they won’t figure it out. How did you train your girls to use it? It has 6 ports and I have 9 birds. This will be the main feeding station with a smaller one off to the other side for lower pecking order and roosters who can fit their heads in the ports.

Just poke their beak in the food or on the water nipples to get wet. They learn pretty quick. Out of 9 chicks I did 4 and the others followed. Supposed to do all them , but I watch them until all are doing it, usually within 30 minutes.
