Janie: I'm just amazed I was able to talk him into it b/c he's had a phobia of birds since he was a child! He's come a long way bc now he's the one looking up coop plans and watching chicken stories on The Dodo ..His face when I told him I was getting a "Beware! TINY RAPTORS" sign for the run was priceless

Honestly, I was the one in our family that didn't want the birds. Now they are mine.
We only have one left from our original hens. My husband knows her, and her first hatched son by name. He can't put names to faces for any of the rest. That's ok though. If I die, I have a vast amount of photos with names, birth dates, and personal details for my daughter to reference.
