I'm only about 13 weeks into raising my chicken and two days ago I switched my chicken's food from a STARTGER/GROWER to a GROWER/FINISHER feed. She is having some solid poops but there are large poops of pure liquid. The liquid is brown/yellow with clear and white mixed in. Is this normal after switching the food?

Thank you! I'm a first time chicken raiser so I have nothing to gauge this all on :)

Did you switch in one day – did your chicken get starter/grower one day and grower/finisher the next day? Switching feed can be hard on their systems unless you go slowly. For example, one day you have ¾ starter/grower and ¼ grower finisher. A couple days later, you switch to ½ starter/grower and ½ grower/finisher. Then a few days later ¼ starter/grower and ¾ grower/finisher. And finally, eliminate the starter/grower altogether.

It is normal for the poop to be like that if you switch feed abruptly, but it's not really good to do. If you did switch slowly, then I don't know why it's like that.
