New from Central California

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum and raising backyard chickens in general. I'm a member on several other forums such as PWCToday, YFZCentral and RotRodBikes to name a few so I have many different interests and hobbies. I got into chickens from my 6 year old son, now 7 who loves to brouse the internet and learn new things. I built him an 8x7 1/2 foot coop, 8 feet tall in the front with a 6 foot tall back that I planned on using as a tool shed once he grew out of this stage, but it doesn't look like he will and now the whole family's involved. We just got 3 8 week old black round head (NRH) hens and 2 dwarf bunnies and named the coop "The Animal House". I built a box tied into the nesting boxes some time ago to grow hatchlings, but since then cut out windows for poultry netting to house the rabbits. I hope this site will be as fun as the others I'm in.
